ORPHAN SPONSOR

Orphans are highly regarded and receive special focus in Islam. Orphans are mentioned at numerous passages in Quran and hadith. Allah SWT regards helping orphans as a very noble act. Islam mandates that its believers must always focus, perform good deeds, and provide for the orphans until they reach adulthood.
Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “I and the one who looks after an orphan will be like this in Paradise,” showing his middle and index fingers and separating them.” [HR: Bukhari]

In 2012, CACIG opened an orphanage housing 19 boys to study Islam at Darul Uloom Al-Hashimiyyah madrasah. From 2013 to 2021, there were 150 boys and girls who received sponsorships in the form of food, school fees and school uniform. CACIG also presented 1764 bicycles and bags with stationery to orphans who were in need. Zakat contributions and Eid gifts were given to the orphans annually. This programme is very important to instil in the future generations to uphold Islamic values and to persevere in achieving success.
