About 3 million people in Cambodia lack access to safe water and 6.5 million lack access to safe drinking water. Because about 77% of Cambodians live in rural areas, they do not have access to safe water and sanitation. In some areas, poor people use the lake’s ponds to eat and cleanse themselves when the dry season reaches the Trapeang Lake, and the lake is dried up, causing serious problems for people living in rural areas.

Because of this, the poor, the elderly, the widows, they are in dire need of wells for daily consumption and farming. The Charitable Association of Cambodian Islamic Graduates (CACIG) has been open to receiving this well since 2013 and has provided generous assistance to the Muslim and non-Muslims alike. The project is mainly implemented in several provinces: Kampong Chhnang, Pursat, Kampong Cham, Tbong Khmum, Kratie, Preah Sihanouk, Prey Veng and Kampong Speu.

You can join the Waqaf or Donation project for yourself, your family, parents, or any person who dies already at any time, as it is a very important donation and will bring lasting rewards for you and those who have died according to the Prophet Muhammad (SAW), “When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity); a knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him (for the deceased).”
