The Muslim community of fishermen is forced to live on a river by boat or raft house because poverty depends on the income of finding fish to cover the cost of living for the family. Many fishermen can’t afford to own land or a house just as a place of shade and worship here until some of them live in a bad boat. This issue caused the fisherman’s children to drop out of school because they had to follow the parents to move in search of fish.
Since 2018, in collaboration with the BAPA of Singapore and the donors of Malaysia and Singapore, CACIG has provided the fisherman family of 83 boats included engine to make a place to live and increase the livelihood.
